Code of Conduct

Introduction #

Glass Hack is a community space and group that aims to support its members with their interests and projects. We value diversity, inclusivity and mutual respect, and we expect all members to adhere to our Code of Conduct.

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and standards of behaviour that all members of Glass Hack are expected to follow.

Respect and Inclusion #

We value diversity and inclusivity and we expect all members to respect and embrace these values. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

We expect all members to treat each other with respect and kindness and to foster an environment that is welcoming and supportive.

Personal Conduct #

We expect all members to conduct themselves in a manner that is appropriate and respectful towards others. This includes refraining from any behaviour that could be perceived as abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate towards others.

We expect all members to be responsible and accountable for their own behaviour and to take responsibility for resolving any conflicts or disputes in a respectful and constructive manner.

Privacy and Confidentiality #

We respect the privacy and confidentiality of our members and we expect all members to do the same. We do not tolerate any breach of confidentiality or sharing of personal information without the express consent of the individual concerned.

We expect all members to respect the privacy of others and to refrain from any behaviour that could be perceived as intrusive or invasive.

Use of Space and Resources #

We expect all members to use the space and resources of Glass Hack responsibly and respectfully. This includes keeping the space clean and tidy, respecting the property of others, and using equipment and resources in a safe and responsible manner.

We expect all members to be mindful of the needs and interests of others and to work collaboratively to create a positive and productive environment for everyone.

Dispute Resolution #

In the event of any conflicts or disputes between members, a director of Glass Hack will act as a mediator to help resolve the issue. If, after mediation, no clear path forward is found, the director will make a decision on how to proceed.

If the issue is wider impacting, the Glass Hack directors will meet and vote on the way forward. The voting process will be held in accordance with the standard terms of the CIC.

Conclusion #

At Glass Hack, we are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive community that fosters creativity, collaboration and personal growth. We expect all members to adhere to our Code of Conduct and to work together to create a positive and inclusive environment for everyone.
